- Mr. M.K. Vijayaraghavan, M.A., M.Phil., PGDT, Head of the Department, was nominated as a subject expert by the University of Madras in 2011. He served on the Board of Studies, University of Madras (2014–2017 and 2019–2022) and has been setting question papers for various universities and autonomous colleges since 2005.
- The faculty have presented papers at State, National and International seminars and conferences, continually updating their knowledge in Hindi.
- Every year the department produces a 70% pass result in the University Examinations, along with University Rank Holders.
